My name's Remmy (they/she), and Static-Loud is a website that acts as both an art portfolio and an interactive game for those who wish to explore it. Currently, there are a few passwords hidden throughout the site that can be used to customize the website background. Eventually, there will be more backgrounds, secrets, and hidden pages on the the site.
This website wouldn't exist without the inspiration, support, and advice that I've been given. In the future, this page will inlcude a list of other cool people, who have either personally supported me over the last few years or who's work helped me design this website in the first place.
I'll be adding people to the list over time when I get their contact info and consent to be added to this list.
DepotAgents - Comrade in website construction! We were coworkers when I was first working on my website back in 2022, now we hang and game together. P.S. Depot's resource page is super helpful :P
Carson - Musician and all around homie. Pretty sure site is abandoned, but leaving the link up for old times sake.
Madison - Tattoo Artist and bug connoisseur.
Check out their store! So far I've gotten two tattoos from her, so if you're in the area I reccomend checking out her work.
Robert Arellano - Teacher and Mentor College feels like a lifetime ago, but without his help I would never have gotten onto this path. He introduced me to Twine, while also fostering my love for writing. He wrote a non-linear game back in the 90's called Sunshine 69, so if you want to see a lil' slice of history go check that out.
I also have a number of friends who do/did livestreaming, so down the line I'll add some twitch links. Occassionally I'll be in call, depending on the game.
and lastly..
You. Thanks for checking out my website
this is going to be an incomplete list, however there are a couple folks I want to shout out.
I've had a hard time moving forward while working on this site, however a few years back I had the chance to explore Ninacti0n's website. I left a lil' message on their guest book, and since then they've been supporting me whenever I make updates to my site. I try not to be emotionally invested in getting likes on my website updates, but it helps me remember that neocities is a community.
I was around 13ish when I first found Glitch Hikers and it turned out to be one of my favorite games. So when the dev's behind it, Silverstring Media, made a modern reimagining of Glitch Hikers I was pretty hyped. So if you want to check out their website you can do that here.
I first looked into Cate Wurtz when I wanted to check who made the cover art for CSHR - Twin Fantasies, and during college she become a pretty big artistic inspiration for me. Her website, Lamezone.net was one the initial infuences for my website. Originally, it was made entirely using image maps, but since then it's been updated to be more mobile friendly. Heads up before checking her site: her comics are definitely niche, so unless you're a gay furry with a nicotine addiction it's probably not for you. Warning for excessive drugs, sex, and violence.
Despite how I like wearing a spikey collar while being covered in spooky makeup, I still have a soft spot for folk music. I grew up in a household of Folk/Irish musicians, so Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer was playing pretty often. When I want to get back to my roots, I go back and listen to their music, and more recently I've been learning some of their stuff on guitar.
List is currently under construction, please stand by.
Who are you?
My name is Remmy, or Renee if you're feeling formal. I'm a 24 year old digital artist who is currently drifting after having graduated college in 2023. My main motivation in life has been creating stories. This has taken many different forms, inlcuding theatre, voice acting, music, and drawing. However, over the course of the pandemic I've gravitated back towards my roots and returned to digital arts. Since then, I've focused mostly on animation and comics, with some voice acting sprinkled throughout whenever the chance arrives.
In the future, I want to have a nice balance between my passions, which also include acting and music, but in the mean time I'll be focusing mostly on the visual arts. If you want more information, the BIO tab on the main page has more details.
So what am I supposed to do here?
In it's current state, the website acts mostly as a funky looking portfolio. So look back on some of my past work, or check out the progress I've made on the stuff I'm currently working on.
In the future, there will be various codes squirelled away throughout the site that can be used to unlock some customization options. If you don't like the eye seering static background, you can change it to something else. In fact, once it's in place, imput the code CLOUDS to get a background that is a bit more gentle. Not only that, but there will be 2 other parts of the site to interact with.
Part 1 is HACKSPACE, which is where you imput the codes you find throughout the site in order unlock stuff. This will require a decent amount of javascript to pull off, so don't expect it until this summer. There will also be a locked door, which requires a code to access. This code can be found in Part 2: STATIC-LOUD, which is a twine game that will be tied directly into the website.
How do I get in contact with you?
Currently there isn't any contact information on this site, however in the future there will be an email address provided. In the mean time, feel free to leave a message on the STATIC-LOUD neocities page, which I check frequiently.
